Real Scandinavia welcomes submissions of original travel stories or photo essays for our Dispatches section. These travel stories are first-person narratives about an experience in Scandinavia. They are not broad features covering an entire country or region but are narrow in scope, focusing on a particular place or theme. Examples might be: kayaking the Lofoten Islands, exploring Copenhagen by bicycle, or learning to love winter in northern Sweden. Length is flexible. Photo essays should have a theme; examples might be: daily life in Oslo, the Northern Lights, historic castles of Denmark, or spring in southern Sweden.

Unfortunately, we are not able to pay for submissions at this time, but all Dispatches will include a byline and a short bio, with a link back to the contributor’s own website, if desired. We will also do our best to promote the work on our social media channels.
